Filling/discharge styles of FIBCs are again of high importance, as it defines the ease of operation for a company. They need the tote bags which can properly fit in appropriate machines for better operational efficiency. Similarly, user activity defines the discharge system of the jumbo bag. The lifting style of Jumbo bags is another concerning area for the users. Most of the mishappenings happen because of incorrect usage of lifting loops. SafeFlex manufactures its Jumbo bags with approved labels (from its customers only) which show the usage of loops correctly.
In a four-loop bag, one should make sure that he/she lifts the bag using all four loops, which should be vertical. The preferable style for lifting the bag is to use 4 differently placed hooks for each loop. You should not use one hook to lift the filled FIBC. While using a forklift, it is highly recommended to avoid sharp edges as they can and will damage the loops, thus compromising the integrity of the safety of the bag.
The four-loop bulk bag must not be handled with one loop, or two loops, the bag is specifically designed to be used with four-loops only, and with its appropriate method of lifting the jumbo bag.
We do not recommend stacking the bags in pyramidal or any other form. We recommend storing FIBCs under a cover for longevity. The tote bags must be protected from direct sunlight and direct water exposure. We need to know during the inquiry stage if there is any deviation wrt such storage conditions as then would take extra measures against any possible failures.
The FIBCs must be filled in as per its specified instructions only, which includes the weight, method of filling, and material as per electrostatic discharge. The weight in the jumbo bags must not exceed the limit for which it is designed. The tote bag must not be filled with any kind of sharp object.
This ensures the safety of everyone involved in the handling process of jumbo bags. The weight inside the bag must be evenly distributed and once the bag is filled, it must be only lifted and then moved. The FIBC must not be dragged under any circumstances.
